Goldsmith’s body found at Galle Face

The Fort Police say that the body found near the flagpole at Galle Face Green on Monday (28) is that of a goldsmith residing at Stacy Road, Grandpass.

Investigations have revealed that the deceased T. Nagaraja has been receiving treatment for diabetes for some time.

The police say that the 45-year-old man’s diabetes condition worsened and he was hospitalised and discharged from the hospital on November 27.

Investigations have also revealed that this person left the house Monday (28) saying that he was going to Galle Face. Fort Police said that a postmortem will be conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death.
