Granny bags Third place at a swimming meet

A fifty six year old woman named S. Selvarani has won the Third Place for swimming a mile, on Thursday.

She is a mother of six and she has five grandchildren too. The swimming event was organized for women in Jaffna by the Vadamarachchi Kandeepan Sports Club.

This meet had been organised in the Vadamarachchi seas and the First and the Second places were won by young girls.

A large number of the spectators who had come to witness the meet had given her cash rewards as well.
