Harak Kata, Salindu caught in flight delay in Mumbai, expected today

Police sources said that the drug dealers Harak Kata and Kudu Salindu, were not brought to the country as scheduled yesterday morning  due to the flight delay. They will be brought to Colombo by today (15), Police sources said.

Criminal Investigation Department sleuths, Police Special Task Force and two officials from the Madagascar police who were bringing the two notorious criminals from Madagascar to the country had to stay in Mumbai, India yesterday (14) while providing strict security to the criminals.

Police information also revealed that they have received a lot of help from the Mumbai Police. Assistance has been obtained from the International Police.

Sources revealed that these two criminals were first taken to Kenya by air from Madagascar with the protection of those officials.

Sources also disclosed that it was initially planned to bring the two of them to Sri Lanka from Kenya through Dubai airport, but since they both have visas to stay in Dubai and due to some other reasons , the plans were changed at the last minute and it was decided to bring them to Sri Lanka from Mumbai, India.

Accordingly the two criminals were taken from Kenya to Mumbai, India on Monday (13). The information revealed that the group missed the flight from Mumbai to Sri Lanka due to the unexpected delay of the flight from Kenya to Mumbai.

Accordingly, reliable information revealed that Sri Lanka had to plan a return flight from Mumbai.
