The Government Analyst’s reports have informed that burns may be caused by using electric devices in a police jeep.
The relevant police jeep’s inspection report was submitted
by the National Child Protection Authority yesterday to Colombo Additional Magistrate K. Perera on the alleged harassment of several students of Millaniya school using electric devices.
Accordingly, the Child Protection Authority informed court that it hopes to act in the future according to the instructions of the Attorney General regarding the suspects.
The lawyers appearing for the suspects told court that although the children’s medical reports have been submitted to court, the forensic medical report states that there are no injuries and since the National Child Protection Authority has not submitted an evidence summary report to court with the original complaint, the suspects should be released.
After considering the relevant matters, the Magistrate ordered the National Child Protection Authority to file a summary report regarding the suspects before court.
