Heavy rains expected throughout the island

According to the Department of Meteorology, fairly heavy rains above 50mm are likely to occur in several places in the country.

Showers or thundershowers are expected to occur at several places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Central, Uva and North-Western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Trincomalee and Mullaitivu districts at various times of the day.
