Infant’s death, a murder – Police

An unfortunate incident was reported from Mekeliyathenna in Urubokka on World Children’s Day – last Sunday where a month month old infant has been killed by her own mother. The mother in question was arrested by the Police on suspicion yesterday. The mother had admitted the infant to the Heegoda Divisional Hospital saying that the head of the infant hit on the wall accidently.

However Police investigations have found that she has killed by the mother.
