Januja Samudunee of Thalawa MV, Anuradhapura won the school Girl’s under 19 cycling race at the Nestle Nestomalt Cycling Challenge concluded last Sunday at the Viharamahadevi Park. The 19 Km race was dominated by outstation school girls while second and third places were won by H.S. Sewwandi of Rajasinghe MV Mulleriyawa and Medhanika Rajapaksa of Katupotha MV, Narammala.
The much-awaited fixture sponsored by Nestlé Nestomalt, was organized by the Cycling Federation of Sri Lanka under the guidance of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
Sri Lanka Cycling Federation organised this event to make a good platform for local cyclists while more rural school girls and boys took part in this event powered by Nestomalt, said Cycling President Dr Amal Harsha de Silva .
