Jayasumana to be evicted from official residence

Colombo Additional Magistrate Manjula Ratnayake yesterday (28) issued an order to evict former Health Minister Professor Channa Jayasumana from his official residence which he is allegedly occupying illegally. 

The Magistrate issued this order while considering a case filed before the Court by the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration.

The Secretary had informed Court that the accused remains in the official residence even after resigning from the post of Minister and asked that an order be given asking him to vacate it.
