Jehan Appuhami released on bail

Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday ordered actor Jehan Appuhami, who has been issued warrants for violating court orders, to be released on a personal bail of Rs.500,000 after he surrendered to Court.

The Magistrate who ordered the suspect Jehan Appuhami to appear before the Slave Island police today (23) and give a statement and ordered the Superintendent of Police Special Investigation Division to investigate and report to the Court regarding the alleged escape of Jehan Appuhami, who was said to have been in Police custody.

The Magistrate made the order after observing that the suspect who was in the custody of the Maligawatta Police had escaped on August 19, in the ‘B’ report.
