Justice Ministry holds Iftar

With the aim of improving national unity and religious harmony, the Iftar ceremony organized by the Justice, Prisons Affairs and Constitutional Reforms Ministry, with the participation of all religious leaders, as per the advice and guidance of Minister Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe PC, was held on Monday afternoon at the Ministry Auditorium. Speaking to the gathering the Justice Minister said: “Building national unity and religious harmony is the responsibility of the Justice Ministry. For that purpose, National Reconciliation Committees have been established to cover all the Grama Niladari divisions.

“All Sri Lankans should unite in order to build the country. Everyone should work with total commitment and dedication to create a better country for our future generations. In the past, our forefathers worked together in harmony.” Ven. Dr. Galagama Dhammaransi Nayaka Thera and Buddhist clergy, Babusharma Kurukkal and Father Nisham invoked religious blessings. Foreign Minister Ali Sabry PC, Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms, Nihal Ranasinghe and Nibras Mohammed also spoke.
