JVP brought sexual violence with ragging to universities – Patali

The leader of the United Republic Front, Member of Parliament Patali Champika Ranawaka said that it was the JVP that brought sexual violence to the universities in the guise of ragging and made children afraid to come to the government universities.

In a public meeting held in Kandy, he said that the JVP is responsible for the rapid emergence of private universities in this country and that many of the children of the JVP political committee have gone to private universities for higher education.

“Who brought inhumane harassment into universities, including sexual harassment in the guise of ragging? The politics of Anura Dissanayake and Lalkantha did that,” he added.
