Kandy- Mahiyangana Road reopened

The Kandy-Mahiyanganaya main road, which was closed yesterday (21) afternoon due to a dangerous situation, has been reopened.

Kandy District Secretary Indika Udawatte stated that since the dangerous situation continues to persist, it has been decided to close the road at night to prevent accidents that may occur to vehicles and people traveling at night.

Steps were taken to close the road due to the risk of landslides and rocks falling from the Ududumbara Kahatagolla area of ​​Mahiyanganaya in Kandy due to the bad weather that has prevailed in recent days.
