Kandy Spas to come under the microscope

Senior DIG Sanjeeva Dharmaratne has instructed the DIG of Kandy to inspect all Spas in the Kandy District and enforce the law against health centres engaged in illegal activities.

The Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police made this order following an investigation by intelligence agencies on the news item published in the Lake House newspapers on December 6 that there are two large-scale brothels operating by a senior Police officer in Kandy under the guise of a Spa.  

Intelligence agencies have reported to the Senior DIG that prostitution rings are rampant in the Kandy District.
