Kankesanthurai Night Mail Train Resumes Operations After Two-Year Hiatus

The night mail train service between Colombo Fort and Kankesanthurai, which was temporarily suspended due to the modernization of the Northern Railway Line, has resumed operations today (31).

General Manager of the Railway Department, Dhammika Jayasundara, confirmed that the train is back in service after nearly two years.

The express mail train is scheduled to depart from Colombo Fort Railway Station at 8:00 p.m. and arrive at Kankesanthurai Railway Station at 4:35 a.m.
