Kelani Saviya Alumni Association Members conduct CSR for Senapura Rehabilitation Centre

A CSR project conducted by the Kelani Saviya Alumni Association Members at a request made by General Dharshana Hettiarachchi from Jayantha Wijesinghe, coordinator and co-initiator Kelani Saviya & Kelani Shakthi Skill Development Programmes, 38 students including six Army officers received certificates from Professor Janaka Ekanayake and Major General Dharshana Hettiarachchi at the Bureau of Rehabilitation Commissioner General recently at Senapura Rehabilitation Vocational Training Centre.

The domestic electrical wiring and installation, three months course was followed by 32 inmates sent for rehabilitation by the magistrate court. Rehabilitators and six Army officers completed the final examination with 26 A passes, 8 B passes and 4 C passes. Certificates were issued by Kelani Cables Plc under the signature of Managing Director Dr. Anil Munasinghe and Course Director G D K. Samaranayake.

Rita Frans of Germany & Ivor Vanculenburg donated Multimeters and tool kits to support them carry out their wiring and installation job as self-employed electricians.

The faculty members were from the Kelani Saviya Alumni Association.
