Keshavi Udeshani wins a Gold Medal in Javelin Throw

Keshavi Udeshani of Princess of Wales’ College Moratuwa won a Gold Medal in the under 16 Javelin Throw in the recently conducted All Island Junior National Athletic Championship conducted by Sri Lanka Athletic Association and held at Sugathadasa Stadium Colombo. Keshavi set a new meet record with a throw of 37.42 meters.

Thanushki Ashini Weerasinghe of same school won a Bronze Medal in the under 18 girls 100 meter event by clocking 12.9 seconds at the same meet.

Both of these girls are coached by former Vidyalian athlete Indika Cooray.
