Lake House Media Academy opens in new, well-equipped premises

The Lake House Media Academy, launched by the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited with the aim of creating a knowledgeable, responsible and creative generation of media professionals, will be opened in a new, well-equipped premises at the Lake House building today.

The opening ceremony will be held today under the patronage of Lake House Chairman Prof.Harendra Kariyawasam.The new premises of the Lakehouse Media Academy consist of most modern facilities including an air-conditioned auditorium with multimedia facilities for conducting lectures for students,and a fully equipped computer lab.

The Lake House Media Academy has made arrangements to introduce a number of media and non-media courses in the future.

The Academy is successfully conducting two Diploma courses related to the fields of Media Communication and Digital Media Communication.

Applications are also being accepted for the Media Communication Diploma course in the Tamil language.

The academy has also organised a number of relevant one-day workshops such as television, radio news presenting, programme presenting, dubbing and sound control, talent acting, wedding photography, YouTube creation, short film creation, architecture, state tax and and is preparing to hold a number.
