Rural Roads and Other Infrastructure State Minister Nimal Lanza resigned from his post yesterday.
He has tendered his resignation to the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Lanza has extended his gratitude to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa for appointing him as Rural Roads and Other Infrastructure State Minister and entrusting him with the responsibility of serving the people by implementing the development drive under the National policy Framework ‘Vistas of Prosperity and Splendor.
He had earlier written to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa describing difficulties he was facing in carrying out his duties as State Minister. He further stated that his conscience is more important than powers and privileges and that is why he is resigning from the post.
