Liberty Motor Enterprise celebrates 25th anniversary

Transport and Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena said that the foundation of a successful business entity is the satisfied customer that is created through customer care.

He stated this while attending an employee appreciation ceremony of Liberty Motor Enterprise, at their 25th anniversary celebrations in Colombo recently.

Addressing the management, employees, sales representatives and foreign partners of Liberty Motor Enterprise, the Minister said that factors like commitment, dedication and devotion directly affect the success of any business.

Besides, the Minister emphasized that many other different factors such as honesty, commitment, friendly customer care, maintaining financial discipline, employee motivation and employee appreciation linked with performance appraisal also directly affect the overall success of a business entity of any scale.

Liberty Motor Enterprise also entered into new business agreements with Japan and India for the importation of world renowned motorcycle spare parts.

The purpose of this event was to appreciate the sales representatives, customers and distribution agents who supported in building the business in conjunction with the 25th anniversary and to help the underprivileged schoolchildren for educational activities.

The Minister, who was the chief guest at the event, stated this business was started in Ratnapura 25 years ago, on a small scale and has become a market leader.

“Liberty Motor Enterprise within a short period of time gained the trust of its buyers and made great progress due its customer service,” this is significant that the owner of the Enterprise is one of my students,” the Minister emphasized.

Minister Gunawardena also added that Liberty Motor Enterprise has a very systematic work order in which the profit received by its business activities, are divided into related parties annually. Employees family members and customers of Liberty Motors Enterprise received gold and cash gifts. A number of scholarships were also awarded to school and university students, who face financial difficulties.

The event, which was held for the fifth consecutive year was attended by the public and customers. The former Mayor of Colombo Rosy Senanayake, Former MP Mujibur Rahman, representatives of the parent companies from Japan, India and Ratnapura branch manager Lutufi Raushan.
