Liverpool Sports Club win by 38 runs

In a Kandy District Cricket Association – Division III Tournament match played at Prisons grounds Pallekele Liverpool Sports Club beat Kandy Bloomfield Cricket Club by 38 runs. Liverpool Sports Club batting first went on to score 199 runs in 31overs, Mohamed Ikram batted well to score 70 runs, Thilan Weerasinghe bowld well to take 5 for 22 and Chamra Atapattu 3 for 43. Kandy Bloonfield Cricket Club in reply were all out for 161 rusn in 33 overs, Chamara Atapattu scored 69, Selvakumar Rajtook 4 for 22 and Pasan Parapitiya 3 for 34.

New set of coaches for Antonians

St Anthonys College have found new set of cricket coaches to build up a good side for the coming inter school season. This school which gives a big hand for cricket has chosen cricket coaches,namely Kavind Jayasuriya a top cricketer during his playing days and later became a coach with years of experience as their under 19 and 17 “A” head coach,He was also one time coach of Trinity College and gave his best for the side to do well and is sure to continue his good work. Akalanka Dissanayke is the 2nd XI and Under 17B coach, Lakshman Kaludeera as the under 15 and 13 “B”coach, Susantha Basnayake as the junior head coach Ruwan Hansana Hathurusinghe as the under 13 “:A” coach, Priyantha Kumara Phyisio and Sanduan Tharanga Jayaratne as the Academy coach. St.Anthony’s College Katugastota has a proud cricketing history, and are one of the oldest cricket playing schools in the country.
