Mahanayake Theras unite to bless President
Anunayake of the Malwathu Chapter, Most Ven. Niyangoda Vijithasiri Thera, emphasised that during political, economic, and social crises, the contributions of leaders with the right experience are invaluable.
He highlighted how President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who took on the responsibility of leading the country during its time of crisis, has used his skills, experience, and insight to significantly improve the situation.
Ven. Vijithasiri Thera noted the positive reception of President Wickremesinghe’s initiatives both among the Maha Sangha and the general public. He urged all lay clergy to recognise and appreciate the President’s efforts over the past two years to strengthen the nation’s economy and his vision for its future development.
Anunayake of the Malwathu Chapter, Most Ven. Niyangoda Vijithasiri Thera was extending his blessings to President Ranil Wickremesinghe for his anticipated victory in the upcoming Presidential Election before the Seth Pirith chanting ceremony began at the President’s official residence.
The Seth Pirith chanting ceremony was attended by monks from various regions of the country, including the historic the Sri Dalada Maligawa, Malwathu Asgiri Maha Viharaya, Vidyodaya Pirivena, Maradana, Swarnamali Chaityaramaya, Lankaramaya, Kataragama Kirivehera, Sri Padasthana, and Atamasthana in Anuradhapura and they offer their blessings for the President’s success in the upcoming election.
Most Ven. Ittapana Dhammalankara Anu Nayake Maha Thera, the Chief Prelate (Mahanayake) of Kotte Sri Kalayani Samagri Dharma Maha Sangha Sabha of Siyam Maha Nikaya, installed the gathering in the Panchsheela.
