Mahela and Anusha dazzle for Air Force at Munchee VB Tourney

Mahela Indeewara and Anusha Abeysinghe, both from Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) SC, won the Most Valuable Player Award in the Men’s and Women’s segment respectively at the Munchee Super League 2022 Volleyball Tournament, held at the National Youth Services Centre (NYSC) Indoor Stadium in Maharagama. Indeewara and Abeysinghe played a major role in their team’s campaign as SLAF SC went on to complete a fine double and clinch both the Men’s and Women’s Championship for the first time. SLAF SC defeated Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) 27-25, 27-22, 25-21 in the Men’s Championship final while their Women’s Team had the better of Sri Lanka Army SC 17-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-20 in the final encounter.
