Mahinda Rajapaksa built a country for everyone to live together – SLPP MP Janaka Thisakutti Aarachchi.

Even though some people claim to provide land and police powers to the North and East, for political advantages, our Party, led by Mahinda Rajapaksa, has always worked to build a country where everyone can live together, said Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Janaka Thisakutti Aarachchi.

During a press conference held at the SLPP Headquarters on Monday (12), he also pointed out that Mahinda Rajapaksa is a leader who has provided enormous service to the village people regardless of their race, and because of that, all the village people will always stand with Mahinda Rajapaksa.

He further said, “The problem that people have now is if SLPP could choose Ranil Wickremesinghe to be the President during Aragalaya, why can’t we choose him again? Even though the MPs and Ministers left the Party, our supporters are still with us. People don’t use their votes based on the words of MPs. Those MPs used Mahinda Rajapaksa’s photos in the elections to their advantage.”

“We asked President Ranil Wickremesinghe about his answer on the 13th Amendment to the Constitution and about his statement of providing North and East with lands and police powers. Under the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, we intend to create a country where everyone can live under the same flag. Mahinda Rajapaksa’s political camp is a nationalist’s camp. How can we support Ranil Wickremesinghe without solving the problems related to lands?”
