Mahinda Rajapaksa files FR petition

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has filed a Fundamental Rights Petition before the Supreme Court

Requesting an order to restore his security detail that was removed

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and a group of cabinet members have been named as respondents in the petition

It is also reported in the petition that only 60 officers were retained from the security detail provided for his protection and the rest were removed without a proper security assessment
