Majority of SLPP Ratnapura district MPs support President

Five of eight SLPP Ratnapura district Members of Parliament have extended their support to President Ranil Wickremesinghe for the upcoming Presidential Election.

State Minister Janaka Wakkumbura said that SLPP representatives of the local government institutions also expressed their agreement to support the President at a meeting held in Ratnapura recently.

The meeting was also attended by Minister Prasanna Ranatunga.

State Minister Wakkumbura said a majority of SLPP members representing LG bodies and activists in Ratnapura were present at the meeting.
