Malaysia’s SL High Commission facilitates US$ 70,000 worth of Medicines for SL
The Sri Lanka High Commission in Malaysia facilitated a consignment of Medicines worth of US$ 70,000 (Rs 23 million) donated by Unimed Sdn Bhd, a renowned Malaysian pharmaceutical company, to the people of Sri Lanka, in support of the country’s Healthcare system.
Recognizing the importance of this humanitarian initiative, SriLankan Airlines arranged to airlift the consignment to Sri Lanka free of charge. Exco member of the Federation of Malaysia-Sri Lanka Organizations (FOMSO), Geetha Rubasundram sponsored the local freight forwarding chargers.
This donation will positively contribute towards the ongoing efforts to overcome Sri Lanka’s Healthcare challenges, particularly with regard to some specific types of essential drugs.
