Man arrested with firearm and ammunition

An individual was arrested in possession of a firearm and a stock of ammunition in a house in Natthandiya in Marawila Police area. The raid was carried out on a tip-off, by officers of the anti-corruption unit of Marawila Police.

The suspect was to be presented to Marawila Magistrate along with the firearm.

Marawila Police’s anti-corruption division are conducting further investigations.
