Man found dead in Kohuwala lodge

A man who came to a lodge in Kohuwala with a married woman whom he had met three months ago died early yesterday (17) due to a sudden illness. Police found several pills on a table in the rented room.

The deceased was a (35)-year-old father of one who resided in the Avissawella area.

Police say that the deceased has taken legal action to separate from his wife.

Investigations have revealed that a 33-year-old woman, who too is seeking legal separation from her husband had developed a relationship with the deceased and they had come to the lodge on Saturday afternoon. Yesterday morning the deceased had started vomiting and after a while phlegm had started coming out of his mouth and the hotel management had called the 1990 ambulance. Health workers in the ambulance had pronounced him dead.
