Man murdered in Agalawatta by father, son

The Agalawatta Police said investigations are being conducted to find a father and son who ran away from the area after attacking their friend with whom they drank alcohol together.

Police said that the person who died in the attack was a 49-year-old man named Nishantha Suduhakuruge, residing in Mahagama, Muduna area.

The police said they have received information that the deceased had been drinking alcohol with the main suspect at the suspect’s house, and the suspect has told a neighbour that he has hit the deceased person and if possible to take him to the hospital, and had fled the area with his 12-year-old son.

A hospital spokesman said that the seriously injured person was admitted to the Pimbura Regional Hospital and later admitted to the Kalutara Teaching Hospital for further treatment where he was pronounced dead later.Crime branch officers are conducting investigations.
