Manel Dharmakeerthi to serve in SEA Games Jury

International Wushu Judge and Referee Manel Dharmakeerthi has been invited to serve in the 31st SEA Games [South East Asian Games] to be held in Vietnam from May 12 to 16 as a Member of the Jury of Appeal.

Manel Dharmakeerthi, current President of Wushu Federation of Sri Lanka, is an ‘A’ Grade International Wushu Judge and Referee since 2001, and he has always made a valuable effort to promote this game both at school and national level.

He has served as an Elite Panel Wushu Judge at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Wushu Tournament and Asian Games in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2018. He was elected to the Technical Committee of the Wushu Federation of Asia [WFA] in 2010 in Guangzhou, China, and still serves in that capacity. In the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, he will serve as a Member of the Jury.

In 2011, Dharmakeerthie was elected to the Marketing & Development Committee of the International Wushu Federation (the world body). He is the only South Asian Wushuite to be elected to the IWUF since its formation in 1990.
