Mawadipalli Causeway gradually going under water

The Mawadipalli Causeway along the Karaitivu-Ampara Road, which took the lives of 9 Arabic College students of Nintavur  Cassimiya Arabic College, during last November floods, when they were returning home by tractor, is  now being gradually inundated with the water level on the increase at present. At present, vehicles are passing through the causeway, but if the rain continues vehicles would find it difficult to pass through. However, the Road Development Authority constructed Posts along the Causeway indicating the flood level, to avert such tragic incidents. Drivers are advised to take greater care and drive very slowly  after checking the roads.
