Namal throws down resignation challenge to Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna MP Namal Rajapaksa said in Parliament yesterday that he will resign from Parliament if the allegation that he wrote the law exam alone in an A/C room is proven.

He also said that if this allegation cannot be proven, the Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe who made the allegation against him should also resign from his Ministerial portfolio.

Namal Rajapaksa said this in response to the allegation made by Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe in Parliament yesterday regarding his law degree.

Stating that some people are knowingly lying under the guise of privileges, Rajapaksa requested that the allegation against him be removed from the Hansard report.

Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe said that he is the one who said it. I have received information about how Namal Rajapaksa wrote the law exam. It is written information. There are also videos. MP Rajapaksa should clarify who accompanied him to the examination hall when he sat for the final exam for his law degree.
