A hurricane 165 runs by opener Namina Fernando guided Sri Sumangala College Panadura to defeat Karandeniya Central by a massive 230 runs in their Inter School Under 19 division two Tier ‘A’ Tournament Cricket Match organized by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and worked off at Karandeniya.
Namina had thirteen hits to the rope and twelve over and occupied the crease for 120 minutes and faced 140 balls and associated a fourth wicket partnership of 112 runs with Prabath Jayasekera who contributed 59 runs and Sadesh Kavinda bowled best for the homesters with 5 for 72. In reply Karandeniya lads were all out for 174 runs with Deshan Rasintha making the top score of 39 runs.
