Navy begins work on Cath Lab at Hambantota Hospital

The Sri Lanka Navy has begun construction of a new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Hambantota District General Hospital, marking a key step in its community health efforts.

The project, launched on Jan. 15, is supported by the Navy’s technical expertise and a financial donation from a philanthropic Sri Lankan couple based in the United States.

Senior Navy and health officials, including Commodore Aruna Weerasinghe and Dr. Asela Gunawardena, attended the ceremonial launch. (Newswire)
