Navy designs medical grade RO plant for Hemodialysis Unit at Minuwangoda Base Hospital
As part of the Naval Social Responsibility Project, a medical grade Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant designed for the Hemodialysis Unit at Base Hospital Minuwangoda was declared open for community use on Monday (21). The event was presided over by, Gampaha Regional Health Services Director Indrani Malwanna and the acting Naval Social Responsibility Project Manager.
The Sri Lanka Navy is engaged in this project under the guidance of Navy Commander, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera. Accordingly, the 30th medical-grade RO plant developed by this project can simultaneously provide hemodialysis treatment to 15 kidney patients.
The occasion was also attended by RDG Wimalasena, Medical Superintendent Minuwangoda Base Hospital, Naval personnel of the Naval Social Responsibility Project and hospital staff.
