New bus service for Chenkalady-Mavilaru region

Under the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ project, a new bus service was inaugurated in the Chenkalady- Mavilaru region, Wednesday (1), despite the bad weather. This area has suffered severely without proper transport for the last 30 years.

This service was begun on the initiative of National People Front (NPF) Batticaloa District Parliamentarian Kanthasamy Prabu, with CTB Eravur Depot Regional Manager and Divisional Secretary in attendance.

This region that had been severely affected by hostilities for 30 years and suffered without basic amenities up to now. The inauguration of this bus service is of immense convenience to the underprivileged people.
