New Democratic Front supports President Ranil Wickremesinghe

The New Democratic Front yesterday expressed its support to President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the upcoming Presidential Election.

Party Secretary Shamali Perera said that President Ranil Wickremesinghe succeeded in getting the country of economic mess.

He said that the people in the country faced many hardships due to economic downturn.

“People were languishing in queues for days in search of medicines, gas and fuel. Many lost their livelihood during this period”. She said that President put the country on right track of development, ending the economic recession. “When many leaders in the country refused to accept the responsibility to steer the country during the crisis, President accepted the challenge,” she said.

She said that no one can forget the bold measures taken by the President to save the lives of the people by providing essential items to the country without any shortage within a very short time.
