New WhatsApp complaint line, Facebook page launched by DMT

The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) has introduced a WhatsApp number to swiftly handle written complaints from service recipients following their implementation of several projects under the new government to enhance the efficiency of the services provided to the public.

Accordingly, service recipients can submit appeals or complaints to the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic Department or the department itself via the WhatsApp number 0714-033300.

Commissioner General Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasinghe stated that several measures have already been put in place to promptly address written complaints sent by the public to this WhatsApp number.

Additionally, the new “TELL DMT” Facebook page provides another platform for service recipients to connect with the Motor Traffic Department.
