NFF questions SF’s ulterior motives

The National Freedom Front (NFF) yesterday questioned Field Marshall Sarath Fonseka who is urging the youth to rebel against the government on August 9, what programme he has to steer the country out of the current crisis in case his call to send the present government home materialises. The NFF Propaganda Secretary MP Mohammad Muzammil while criticising Fonseka’s statement at a media briefing said “Is the state of Sri Lanka stable at the moment? Or will the state continue to be anarchic and suffer the fate of Haiti and Libya?”.

He expressed his belief that Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake also will not allow the people to die in the face of the crisis and will not delay until they get a mandate and will put their solution proposals before the country at this moment. He also said that the slogans and concerns of the ‘Aragalaya’ activists will become inactive when a minimum common national programme is prepared at an all-party conference to solve the crisis. He also mentioned however that if an all-party government is going to be formed with the change of a few heads those doing it will repeat the same mistake made throughout the country’s political history.
