No country with NPP like socialist policies progressed – Sajith

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said no country in the world has progressed in the extreme socialist government policy followed by the National People’s Power.

Speaking at public rally in Medagama, the Opposition Leader said that no country that followed extreme

socialist policies has progressed. He said that a country cannot be built by the theory of Marx, Lenin and Stalin and the NPP failed to understand this reality.

“Our country is breathing because of the garment factories started by former President Ranasinghe Premadasa,” Premadasa said.

He was of the view that those who can solve country’s burning issues and those who can bring foreign exchange to the country should steer the country. “We are not confined to begging votes”, he said.
