The Education Ministry emphasizes that the Ministry will not issue letters to admit students to Grades 1, 5 and 6 for the year 2024.
In order to enrol students in Grade One of schools, applications should be forwarded to the respective schools according to the circular issued by the Education Ministry. The principals of those respective schools will conduct interviews and enroll the selected students to Grade One.
Meanwhile, admission of students to the Grade Six in national schools is made solely on the basis of the scores obtained by students at the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination. In the year 2024, the relevant applications should also be forwarded to the respective schools to admit students to intermediate classes other than Grades 1, 5 and 6 (including GCE Advanced Levels). If there are vacancies in those schools, the principals will select suitable students after conducting interviews in accordance with the Education Ministry circular and forward the names of the selected students to the Ministry for approval.
Therefore, the Education Ministry emphasizes that the Ministry will not issue letters for student admission to any grade of schools.
