No threats to national security, SL Tourism tells foreign tourists

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau has invited tourists from around the world to visit Sri Lanka during the upcoming tourist season since there are no current threats to national security.

The bureau assured that all visitors can safely enjoy the beauty of the country and emphasised that the highest level of security will be provided to ensure their safety throughout their stay.

Additionally, the bureau stated that the Defence Ministry has taken necessary steps to guarantee the safety of tourists. Acting IGP Priyantha Weerasooriya also noted that if any information regarding the safety of foreign tourists arises, the Security Council would convene to address it. He reaffirmed that there are currently no threats to national security.
