NTC DG sent on compulsory leave

National Transport Commission (NTC) Director General Nilan Miranda has been sent on compulsory leave from yesterday (6).

A senior officer of the council said that this step was taken as per the decision of the Board of Directors due to an internal investigation conducted by the Commission regarding several allegations against him.

He said that an investigation is underway under eight charges against him.
