Only twelve of the 225 Members of Parliament have so far publicly declared their assets and liabilities, SJB MP Dr. Harsha De Silva told Parliament yesterday. According to the anti-corruption law, senior officials including the President, the Prime Minister, Ministers, as well as all Members of Parliament, should disclose their assets and liabilities to the public.

It is the 16th recommendation among the others of IMF. The MP said that the asset declarations should be published on a selected website by July 24, 2024. MP Dr. Harsha De Silva said that the IMF has given 16 recommendations for implementation and questioned whether those conditions are wrong.
