The results of the GCE Ordinary Level Examination 2024 (2023) were released on Saturday.
Examination Commissioner General Amith Jayasundara said that applications for re-scrutiny of results will be accepted from tomorrow (1) to October14.
Around 452,979 candidates appeared for this exam, including 387,648 school applicants and 65,331 private applicants.
Exam results can be obtained from www.doenets.lk or www.results.exams.gov.lk There is one female student who has been placed as island’s first, two students who got equal marks in the second place and three students who have got equal marks in the third place.
Hiruni Malsha Kumaratunga of Galle Sanghamitta Girls’ College has obtained the highest marks in the examination.
The second highest marks have been obtained by Kulani Methsara of Colombo Musaeus College, Vimansa Jayanadhi Ratnaweera of Kurunegala Maliyadeva Girls College. The third highest marks have been obtained by three students namely Seshani Sehansa Jayawardene of Vishaka Girls’ College Colombo, Methuki Chamodi Perera of Nugegoda Anula College and Naduni Pamuditha Ranawaka of Galle Sanghamitta Girls’ College. The Examination Department has also made it possible to apply for the certificate of this examination online from tomorrow (1) for local and foreign use.
