Over Rs. 12.5 Bn payments related to construction sector settled

The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing had settled over Rs. 12.5 billion payments related to the construction sector that were presented due to the economic crisis and the C-19 pandemic.

In addition to providing this benefit to the construction sector, Minister of Urban Development and Housing Prasanna Ranatunage has also decided to present a special Cabinet paper to the Cabinet to solve the current issues of the construction sector.

A high-level committee coordinated by the officials of the ministry has also been appointed for the preparation of this Cabinet paper.
