Passing Bills redundant if laws are not enforced – NPP
Gampaha District National People’s Power (NPP) MP Vijitha Herath said in Parliament yesterday that if the Bills passed in the Parliament are not implemented on the ground, there is no use in passing the Bills. The MP said that fraud and corruption is increasing day by day and if the fraud and corruption does not stop, there is no point in bringing Bills in Parliament. The MP further said that the election Bills are being brought but there are no elections. Legal Acts are also brought but those laws are not implemented.
