Pastor Jerome’s parents tender unreserved apology

The parents of pastor Jerome Fernando yesterday tendered an unreserved apology for the statements made by their son which would trigger disunity among religions in the country.

They made the apology when they met Ven.Omalpe Sobitha Thera at the Headquarters of Sri Lanka Ramannaya Maha Nikaya yesterday.

Pastor Fernando who has been accused of making statement that would trigger religious disharmony is presently out of the country.The Fort Magistrate had also imposed a travel ban on him

The Criminal Investigation Department has already started investigations into Pastor Fernando on the directive of President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
