Pension revisions for retired Govt. officials

The Cabinet of Ministers has granted its consent to the proposal forwarded by President Ranil Wickremasinghe in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies for the elimination of anomalies in pensions in the government service.

Cabinet Spokesman Mass Media Minister Dr Bandula Gunwardena said that a certain group of pensioners have experienced anomalies due to various policy decisions taken by the Cabinet of Ministers as well as the salary revisions carried out from time to time by the government.
