People’s Bank Vaasi Kotiyai rewards foreign remittance draw winners

People’s Bank picked the first batch of winners of the People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai, Ewannai Dinannai Draw where the daily and weekly winners for the first two weeks of February were selected.

This event was held at the People’s Bank Overseas Customer Services premises at Colombo 10 recently.

Accordingly, prizes will be presented to fourteen daily winners while the two weekly winners will be awarded 22-carat gold sovereigns.

Senior Deputy General Manager Payments and Digital K.B. Rajapakse, Rohan Pathirage Senior Deputy General Manager Overseas Customer Services, Renuka Jayasinghe Deputy General Manager Retail Banking, Process Management and Quality Assurance, Nalaka Wijayawardana Head of Marketing, Renuka Arunachalam Chief Manager Overseas Customer Services and Mohamed Ruwaiz Chief Manager Audit participated in the event.

People’s launched ‘Vaasi Kotiyayi’ promotion from February 1, to encourage and appreciate Sri Lankan migrant workers who work tirelessly to strengthen the country’s economy and build a better life for themselves and their families. Under this promotion the Grand Draw winner who will be selected at the yearend will be presented with a grand prize of Rs.10 million.

Additionally, the daily winners will receive cash prizes while the weekly winner will receive 22-carat gold sovereigns and the monthly winners will be awarded with cash.

All customers who remit money through People’s Bank using any method during the period of February 1December 31 are eligible to enter the draw. Customers can also increase their chances of winning by remitting more money.
